What’s goin on everyone?! Today, I’d like to introduce you all to an artist from Los Angeles, CA who goes by the name Mani Coolin’. His music is laid back, and he carries a real hypnotic flow and vocal sound. Mani’s rhymes are relatable, yet they trip out your knowledge, and make you see and sense things in a new way. He brings that chill West Coast vibe that transcends a positive mindset, great dreams, and the power to obtain them. I see a lot of potential in his ability as an emcee. I am excited for him to grow and perfect his craft. So without further ado, let’s get to know a little more about Mani Coolin’ in the interview below.

Q. Who are you, and where you are from?

A: Mani Coolin’, from L.A., the real Los Angeles, not the outskirts. Ha.

Q. Is there anything in particular about where you’re from, or how you were raised, that sparked your interest in making music?

A: Where i’m from made me appreciate the music culture in the city. How I was raised plays a big roll in what I make music about.

Q. What inspires you in life?

A: Progression.

Q. How about your favorite artists… Which have inspired you musically?

A: Andre 3000, I recently went back and listened to some old Outkast. His creativity just makes me tell myself I gotta keep getting better.

Q. What was it like working with Casey Veggies and Niko G-4?

A: I grew up with them. I know their Mom’s, they know mine. We go back before any of us were doing music.

Q. Is there anything special that you like to accomplish through your craft?

A: The money is a plus, Everyone wants to make money from their craft. Im blessed that happens. But I got in this to inspire. I wanna be that Hope for the Youth.

Q. When you get a chance to just chill, what is your favorite thing to do?

A: Everything I do revolves around music somehow. I just like to stay in the Studio. If i’m just chilling i’m probably writing music or listening to music.

 

Q. What does hip hop mean to you?

A: I won’t be cliche, but, HipHop doesn’t mean much to me. I Love it sometimes but I dont wanna just be in that “hip hop” box.

Q. Any plans for 2014?

A: I’ll be getting money in another Country… Foreal. Haha.
