What’s up everyone?! I hope all is well with you, where ever you are in the world. It’s time again for The Song of the Week! This week’s pick goes to Pro Era’s Kirk Knight “Early Morning Hiatus.” The track was released on 4:20 and can also be found on the new Smokers Club tape- OIL:710. In this song Kirk discusses his daily need to escape from the world; to discover his inner energy and soul. He realizes that the norm of society and all the issues of the world are just a formulation of the human mind. That “reality” is much deeper, and to find it, you have to take a “hiatus.” The beat starts out peaceful, then the drum comes in and breaks it up, like a bit of chaos; it vibes perfectly with the lyrics and meaning of the song. “What’s reality to you my friend?” If you think about, reality will grow and change with each waking moment. So take an “early morning hiatus” and think about your reality, and what you want to make it. Cause in the end, without imagination there would be no reality. Give it a listen here below!
