What’s Good Everyone? It’s time again for The Song of the Week. This one goes to Choo Jackson’s new record titled “Marbles,” produced the mysterious and talented Larry Fisherman. The production is perfectly catered to the sound that represents Choo best; super laid back, with little bits of audible sunshine, pain, and pleasure. Choo’s last mixtape, Beer Flavored Pizza, was released in January 2013, on which he produced many of the 16 tracks. The tape is full of positive vibes and it conveys a creative coming of age story. “Marbles” carries a similar touch. Choo raps about a particular relationship; the groupies’ phenomenon; people that said he wouldn’t make it; and how his dreams are coming true despite the negativity. The hook and production on this record is hypnotic. It’s really a feel good song. So sit back with your girl, grab some of that OE, roll up, and enjoy the music!
