What’s Going on Everyone?!,
This past weekend I went up north to the city of Fresno, California. Fresno is located in Central California for those who don’t know. I went to check out the 2nd annual Grizzly Fest at Chukchansi Park. Many different artists and vendors were on site. IAMSU! and Kool John hit the stage and got the crowd hype! The highlight of the night for me was Fresno’s own Fashawn. Fashawn is signed with Nas and his Mass Appeal imprint. Fashawn has been working hard for many years and his music touches the soul and brings tremendous value.
The crowd was very diverse and very easy to talk to. I’m use to Los Angeles, were everyone judges you hard and everyone has the master plan to make it big! Fresno was refreshing despite, a few wild moments at the train station. It was such a blessing to see the city come out and get along. Fashawn hit the stage a little after 11. He has a strong stage presence and very positive aura around him. To describe his music, I would say real life. He raps about many different aspects of life from family, friends, dreams and what I like the best is he loves his city. Fresno is not as big as NYC or LA, but the city has just as much potential and love. It is awesome to see a young man give back to city and respect it very hard.
The experience in Fresno was great! I will be back for the third annual Grizzly Fest! Stay Positive and I believe In you Fresno.
