What’s Good Everyone?!? I hope you all are looking forward this New Year; working to make this one better than the last. Where ever you are, whatever the weather, I hope you’re enjoying the music of the season. This past Wednesday, Las Vegas native/MC Dizzy Wright came to D.C., and brought along with him those positive West Coast vibes. He got right into his performance, with a huge smile on his face. The crowd was vibin with his presence and flow the entire time. Toward the end of his set, Dizzy invited the opening acts back on stage to take turns at spittin whatever was on their mind. He said he wanted “to hear what they had to say.” It was a real cool and rare thing to witness. Not only was it entertaining; it was empowering to see someone of his great success interested in what the up and comers had to offer. It was real, unrehearsed, live LIFE. I truly dig that. It is rare to meet someone who is that human; someone who makes it a point to inspire others, and bring out the best in them. While he is definitely inspiring, I have to say that Dizzy Wright is the epitome of a great performer. This is the second time I’ve been to one of his shows, and he never fails to bring this infectious personality, and spirit to the room. I know everyone has heard that saying “like they have a fire in them,” that’s it; he has a fire in him; a glow; a message, a talent, and a presence that grips you. It is definitely something you have to experience for yourself. So be sure to check him out when he comes to your city!
