1. How have things been since the last time we spoke, which was back in June.

Things have been really good since we last spoke. Since we last spoke, I have done a few more shows, released a few more mixes, and just been posting a lot on all of my social media platforms. The most recent show I did with K2Icy and Nuevo Lio was one for the books, we packed the house! My mixes and mix videos have been getting a lot of traction getting noticed and reposted by artists like AzChike and Chris O’Bannon.

2. Tell us about your debut album ‘No Guarantees’. How did you come up with the name?

This album is the first project that I have ever done under my own name.  This is the first project that I will have on all streaming platforms and be able to call my own. I came up with the name based on a life lesson I learned from my pops, which is that there really are no guarantees in life. If you want something, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll get it, but if you put in the work day in and day out, you’ll surely get the result you want. I also think that it resonates with my music career as this is my debut album and there is no guarantee of how good it will do, but I believe in my supporters and people who show love to keep the same energy and make this album do well.

3. How did you go about finding which artists to work with on the album?

Most of the artists the are on this album are actually friends and people who I have worked with in some type of musical way. They all are doing their things in their own lane, I reached out to them about the project and they were ecstatic to be a part of it. There is also a few artist that I did not know, but connected with through mutual connections. After a few conversations, I got them on board, and thus behold I had my final product. When choosing all the artists, I kept in mind their styles and how well it matched to mine and how it would all sound put together.

4. What do you want listeners to takeaway from the music?

I want listeners to just listen to the album from top to bottom and listen to what’s being said. I think that each track has some type of message that relates to the overall message of “No Guarantees”whether that be in life, relationships, your hustle, or just anything. And also, just be aware of the style as this is going to be the unique sound you here every time you hear DJ Inferno.

5. How did you go about finding the production for the album?

Luckily working with artist who know what’s going on and have been doing music for a while, this step was not hard as we all had connections and were able to get this done relatively quick.

6. Do you plan to have any music videos for the album?

Currently we do not have any plans for music videos for the album, but if certain tracks blow up and the people want a music video, you’ll be sure to see a music video in the near future.

7. What was the hardest task about completing the album?

I think the hardest task for completing the album was just bringing it all together. Since I am independent and do not have any label or management I do everything on my own. All the studio bookings, all the emails, all the calls, I had to do all of that and learn some of it on the fly. I was thankful that I have some good people in my circle who know the business and were able to help me and give me advice along the way.

8. How did it feel when the album was finally completed?

It felt so good to have everything done: All the songs completed and mastered, the cover art done, and then finally having it submitted and a release date set for all platforms. I think I will be even more excited when I finally see it on platforms and hear all the feedback from people tuning in.

9. Anything else you want the world to know..

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has been rocking with me since day one and been showing so much love. I truly appreciate it all and know that it does not go unnoticed. I also want everyone to know that this is just the beginning of a era -Inferno.
