What’s going on! Today, we speak with Los Angeles artist Famouz Honcho. Famouz Honcho is an upcoming artist with a unique sound! He has a story to tell and is ready to put the work in. Recently, he dropped a new project titled AllStar Team. We discuss the new music, his influences, growing up and much much more!

1. Where are you from and what was it like growing up there?
Growing up being the second oldest of 4 siblings was hard. I’m from LA grew up in different parts of the city from watts, south central LA, and even compton. Honestly becoming apart of my environment made it tuff. I grew up with people that aren’t even around me today to gun violence, or being in jail. I honestly never even thought I would make it to see 24. It’s crazy because I genuinely love LA but know how hard it is to make it out the city.
2. What music inspired your growing up?
03 greedo, lil durk, nd honestly seeing some of ma homiez around me do it made me wanna do it. I was always around music since I was small my granny nd her husband use to take me nd ma older sis to the studio so I kinda was born into it to be honest. But 03 had the most influential impact on me because he was from the hood and I got to see him turn his music up just off the hussle. I was also inspired by NIP nd YG because I felt like NIP showed young n*ggas how to get money, off the ground work, like sellin T-Shirts, nd CDs. YG had a big influence of how gangsta story rap could be told as well as getting the hispanic audience involved. I really sat down nd took notes on all these artists.
3. Tell us about your latest release ”AllStar Team‘.
Okay so this tape represents the versatility I have. Every feature on it was hand picked based off the style that my team nd I felt like that artist could fit into. I had different relations wit each artist and genuinely think each one has a unique style and talent. So I went to school with SwirledBabiee we had went to HS together. I met Skreamin Hussle thru her cousin. Me nd Donny Loc was locked in from a few years back when we did a collab. I met Cookz25 a while back thru us networking and we also already had songs together. Me nd FTM Nuskii met thru ma homie ES Och. I met F1oyd nd FaceDaShooter thru ma cousin he da one who actually plugged us wit that collab Paradise so shoutout to him. Me nd DBOE also went to HS together a fun fact about the song we did was that the track was actually a single I was going to drop nd I posted a snippet of it on my insta story. Bro had slid up on it nd was like let me hop on that so I sent him the track nd he did his thang on there.
4. What is your favorite track on the project?
I’m not gone lie I have to say every song might be ma favorite only cux each one has a whole different vibe to it so depending on how im feeling that day is what I would listen too. Like I don’t really rap so when im hyped “paradise” and “no face” are the ones I listen too. I really prefer to sing tho.
5. What do you have planned for 2023?
Visuals OTW, I also got a few surprises on the way to take the music to the next level our team is working on another project as well.
6. What artist/producer have you always wanted to work with?
Honestly Shordie Shordie, 03 Greedo, Durk, Kalan Frfr, Az Chike, 1Takejay, Rucci, for producers I would say DJ Tray, LowTheGreat, Hollywood, KeyOnDaTrack.
7. How would you describe your sound?
I would say im real versatile, so the sound I give is never going to be the same as what most people are use to listening too. My flow differs as well as my vibes.
