What’s good everyone! It’s Ryan and we are back with another interview. Today, we speak with Los Angeles artist jerMAINstream. jerMAINstream puts a lot of soul and depth in his music! We asked him some questions and he provided us with some good insight! Enjoy the interview and music!

1. Where did you grow up and what was is like growing up there?

I grew up in the trenches of South LA. For some people this can be a hell hole, but as I’ve explained I like to think we’re lucky to be Native Angelenos. Some people spend their entire lives trying to get here and the people that are actually from here take it for granted.

2. Growing up what music inspired you?

Growing up I was inspired by a lot of Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne is my favorite rapper and arguably one of the greatest of all time. There were also others such as 50 Cent, Jadakiss, Andre 3000, Drake, & Eminem.

3. What made you get into making music?

Music became a positive outlet for me to express my emotions. This way I can help people visualize my lifestyle, almost to the point where they feel like it’s them in the main character position.

4. Tell us about what you have been working on lately?

I’ve been working on a couple features. Plan on dropping something hot before the year is up.

5. Tell us about your latest release “Mr. Mainstream”.

My latest release Mr. Mainstream is one of my best songs yet lyrically. This song was very fun to make.

6. What current mainstream artist do you want to work with?

Wallie The Sensei or Drake.

7. What do you want the world to take from the music you make?

I try to stay versatile to have a wide range of fans. Rather that be people that want to turn up to a club banger, or people who want to get out of a bad mental state, or even people who can just relate to the things I say.

8. Who are some of your favorite producers?

DJ Mustard, Kayne West, Just Blaze, Metro Boomin, LowTheGreat.

9. Any last thing you want the world to know…

Find you somebody solid and get out the way. The world is sick and wicked.
