What’s good everyone! We recently chopped it up with Los Angeles artist – JP Cali Smoov, in a conversation full of motivation! Cali Smoov talks about working with youth outreach programs to inspire kids to want the most out of life, and to see a future outside of their current state of mind/well being. We discuss the challenges he faced when moving to Chicago as a teen, and how his experiences have molded a perspective that is to “be a doer – not a talker.” Social issues involving race and police, the limitation of resources, and education for inner city youth, and how it is up to us to change today for a better tomorrow are just a few of the issues touched on. Being inspired by and like-minded to greats who are currently shaping a bright future for the underprivileged and underserved, are among some of the passions that make JP Cali Smoov a positive artist to follow. Be sure to check his new project – Tha First Meal – hosted by Big Snoop Dogg. You can also get a copy of his book of poetry – Untold, Unheard & Unwritten – inspired by ‘The Rose That Grew From Concrete.’
Check out the interview below, stay tuned for more, and as always Stay Positive!
