What’s good everyone!? We are back with a new interview! This time, we speak with Inglewood’s Mr BIY. Mr BIY wears many hats and has a diverse set of skills! 1. Where did you grow up and what was it like growing up there?
I grew up in Inglewood, Ca & Ryan let me tell you, Living in Inglewood is amazing. Just being in Los Angeles for a week or a few days will have you amazed, now imagine living here, its so much to do out here, you can run into countless celebrities, there’s almost a party or some type of event happening every week if not every other week. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Inglewood is the most perfect place because I’m not, there will always come a time when things aren’t going in your favor.
2. What music inspired you or did you hear a lot in your childhood?
When it comes down to music, I grew up listening to all kinds of music, Some Jazz, R&B, rap, coming from all over the world & various artists such as: Charlie Wilson, Al Green, 2pac, Biggie Smalls,50 cent, & Eminem & etc. I could go on & on with this but I’ll stop there.
3. You wear many hats, tell us about the all skills you have and what you are involved with?
Man Ryan I’m just trying to stay busy & keep my business name growing. I’m a Photographer/Videographer, recording engineer, I have a clothing line, Most recently I’ve jumped into the music scene becoming a music artist myself.
4. How did you come up with the “Believe In Yourself” name?
I get this question a lot, what made you name the business that & how did you come up with it. Well let me tell you, I came up with the name “Believe In Yourself” when i was back in high school about the 10th grade. I had a teacher who always stressed to us that you should always have a back up plan because your initial plan may not always work out how you expect. With that I knew I must have something in the backfield that I could always fall to. I didn’t have many people in my life helping me or help guide me in the right direction, so I was very strong on doing things by myself and hardly would ask someone for assistance. You can do anything you put your mind to & actually take the time to learn. Everyone is a STAR in their own way, you just have to find what helps you shine & exploit it to the fullest.
5. What was your greatest accomplishment of 2021 so far? The year isn’t over, never know what might happen!
This right here mhm, Ima be honest i don’t feel like i’ve had my greatest accomplishment just yet, that could be the humbleness in me but i truly feel it hasn’t happened yet. 6. What are your plans for 2022?
It’s a whole lot of things being planned & set into motion for this upcoming year. All ima say is that I just know I’m getting better & better every time out & soon enough my name will be everywhere. More videos, new music, new clothing coming soon.
7. If you could shoot a video for any artist ever who would it be?
This is a tough one right here, to be honest I would love to shoot a video, vlogs, BTS videos & etc. for every artist out there especially when everything is genuine. I would love the chance to work with every artist possible.
8. Tell us about what you have been working on lately….
The latest thing I’m working on right now is a music video & also i’m getting everything in order for another drop for my clothing line. Also I have some music in the vault that will be coming out soon.
9. Anything last things you want the world to know…..
Yeah, Believe In Yourself you can do anything in this world that you want to do, Don’t get discouraged & don’t let anyone tell you that you won’t achieve anything. You got this!! Stay tuned for more content OTW.
