1. Where are you from and what was it like growing up there?
I am Wilson, NC AKA (WIDE AWAKE).
Growing up there was interesting because you could easily be apart of the street life or take the college route. There was not much separation between the two worlds. I personally took the college route.
How is the current music scene in your town?
In my current town of Chapel Hill it’s getting better. Located in the Raleigh /Durham area brings about a lot of dope styles of rap ranging from backpack to trap. It’s hard to get good shows here though hence the reason you gotta travel outside your area a little bit.
2. Since, our last interview what have you been working on?
I’ve been working on my branding and recording more. I put more focus on actually building a fanbase.
3. What plans do you have for 2023?
Start doing independent shows even if its just small base to start. Definitely wouldn’t mind landing an opportunity to write a few songs for a major artist.
4. How do you feel about the current state of music?
I feel like the music game is saturated with the same sound. However if you come with something refreshing people are open to a new artist.
5. What is one thing you want people to take away from your music?
I want people motivated and feel successful.
6. Where did you get your name from?
I actually have m degree in Finance, and I believe in investing all of heart into your dreams.
7. Where do you get your motivation to make music from?
I’ve always had a passion for instruments and listening to jazz and reggae. I also like writing poetry. One day I was like I wanna put these thoughts over some melodies and beats.
8. Anything else you want the world to know…
Never let someone deflect your ambition. Also I am really into investing and stock market. I live this!
