What’s going on everyone! Today, we speak with upcoming Long Beach, California artist Rich9. Rich9 recently released his new project At Night I Think. The project has some real smooth tracks and shows Rich9’s versatility as an artist! We discuss growing up in Long Beach, the new project, artists/producers he would like to work with and much more!

1. Where are you from and what was it like growing up there?
I’m from Long Beach. It was cool shit you see a lot of people that made it out that give u motivation to do the same and not just bang.
2. What music inspired you growing up?
My fav artist as a kid was Juvenile and DMX. But I think what inspired me was just being around the music growing up I always had a thing for music.
3. Tell us about you’re new project ‘At Night I Think’.
AT NIGHT I THINK was a name I gave the project just cuz I wanted it to be like I’m talking bout shit I think about to myself or alone at night . Shit in my head . So it brings some vibes and some more uptempo style to it. But just real life shit I go through or been through involving the ladies.
4. How would you describe your sound to those who have never before?
It’s a raspy sound but just catchy like you either gone like my voice or hate it lol. But I think I’m versatile so the style will never be the same I just experiment with shit.
5. What artists/producers do you want to work with?
As of right now I wanna work with A boogie or Kevin Gates . Producer I fuck with murda beats or hitMaka!! Beats go craze!!
6. What are your plans for the rest of 2022?
I want to continue to work on my sound and voice and just become a better artist and more into production side.
7. What is the main reason you make music?
I make music for my appealing . So I can talk about shit I want and listen to shit I wanna hear about . It’s for people to like , but I feel I can tell my story of every day life shit I go through and been though.
8. Anything else you want the world to know…
I want the world to know look out for all the upcoming Long Beach artist . It’s a lot of talent coming out the city . So don’t be late jumping on that wave.
