Inspired To Achieve

Every successful person has captured the ability to grow, change, and inspire others.

One of the best messages being projected through music today is the ability to take control of your life and make it what you want. This belief in progression and positivity has certainly manifested in the hip hop community. The future looks bright. I would like to take some time to discuss two artists that are playing the roles of motivators. It is important to recognize these people because they are the messengers, whispering in our ears (or shouting, depending on how loud you like your music) day in and day out, to keep looking up. This vibe is contagiously spreading through the veins of artists and fans alike. Let us hope there is no cure, for we are high on this new aroma of independence.

I’m gonna make way with an artist coming from Detroit, MI. He goes by the name Big Sean. I chose to shine light on him because he inspires me. He is positive to the point where it is hypnotic. Sean’s lyrics promote growth in a way that is so natural and simplistic. I find him relatable. He wants the same things most of us desire, and he makes me believe I can obtain them.

“And this is how life should go/Everything I wanted never seem so close/Good people, good drinks, good smoke/Got me thinking this is how life should go/This is how life should go/Everything I wanted never seem so close/Family all around, all highs no lows/Got me thinking this is how life should go”

His songs are anthems for success. I enjoy the encouraging idea of building and reveling in your own achievement. I believe in Big Sean’s message and I think there are a lot of great things to come from his career.

The second artist I want to put the spotlight on is from Inglewood, CA. His name is Casey Veggies and he breathes youth and positivity. When I listen to his music it makes me want to be where he’s at. He inspires me to surround myself with positive people. Casey is relatable because he understands that life is a struggle, having to deal with conflicting mind sets, and figuring things out in your own way. I like his point of view because it expresses being happy and free.

“I done made up my mind if you focus on right things/And realize that it take time/Then you will have a great time, everything gonna intertwine…”

“Life is like a garden it don’t where it started…”

“Got to learn to do it for yourself/And no longer fear/All the negative shit that people throw in your ear”

It is inspiring to see someone so young with such optimism. His music is magnetic and good and will uplift you. I see only good things for Casey Veggies, and I look forward to hearing what he creates in the future.

These are just two of many artists who are raising the bar for the future by promoting the right attitude towards life. I would like to encourage anyone seeking greatness to listen to the music of these two and others like them, because it will only empower you. Remember that desire is the foundation upon which all success is built. True happiness is a mindset. In small doses it is intoxicating. Imagine every day you wake up in the reality that you are happy. That you are working toward something meaningful, that you are reaching your full potential. Our personal achievement is greater than the money, recognition, fame and everything that comes with it. Happiness is our greatest form of achievement. Being happy and free is an attainable goal. With that said, let us all aim higher than the clouds. For we have the ability to go only as far as we can desire.
