What’s good everyone!? Last night, I got the chance to see Mobb Deep perform at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. For those who are unfamiliar, Havoc and Prodigy complete Mobb Deep; the infamous rap duo, from Queens, NY. The two reunited this May, for a 20th anniversary international tour. Last night they performed some of their old songs including:“Get Away”, “Shook Ones” and more. Havoc also brought forth a few songs from his new album 13. And Prodigy performed tracks from his upcoming album Albert Einstein, produced by The Alchemist, as well. The two had the crowd turned up; everyone was dancing and vibing to the music. This was my first time at one of their shows; I’ve been listening to them for years, so it was real cool to finally experience their live presence. You could tell that the classic Mobb Deep songs took the mature fans back in time; it really brought out their youth; like they were teenagers again, hearing the music for the first time. I’m definitely glad to have been a part of that experience. Check out the pictures from the show below! Be sure to check out Havoc’s 13; and be on the lookout for Prodigy’s Albert Einstein, coming June 11th.
