Sony Music Entertainment is going to announce Salaam Remi as their VP of A&R.
Long time hip hop producer and musician, Salaam Remi has been named as the new VP of A&R at Sony Music Entertainment.
Billboard reports that a source has confirmed this will be Remi’s new role and his position will stretch across all labels under the Sony umbrella. Remi has been in the game for a long time, even appearing as a keyboardist on a Kurtis Blow record.
Salaam is closely associated with Nas, and is even credited as the person who introduced him and Amy Winehouse. Recently, Remi has credits on Nas’ Life Is Good, Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream and Alicia Keys’Girl On Fire.
