What’s goin on everyone?! I hope you all are good; living, growing, and planning to get whatever you want in this world. Right now, it’s time for The Song of the Week! This week’s pick goes to Berner “Ready to Die” featuring Big K.R.I.T. & Z-Ro; produced by Cozmo and Maxwell Smart. I chose this one because its dope and I can relate to it. How many people can say “I am ready to die” anyway? It’s really quite a liberating concept. When you figure out what you want, you begin to feel the life inside you. That is when you realize your mortality. When you are ready to die, you are fighting to live and you want to live each day to the fullest. You’re no longer scared to get what you want, and say how you feel. When others witness this, most often they won’t understand. They may be jealous and wish you to fail; they may want to kill you. This song reminds me that when you’re ready to die, you won’t let anyone stand in your way of living. Truthfully, I don’t think people are afraid to die; I believe people are afraid to live. This belief stems from my realization: 1. life is a constant struggle that demands from us more than we are often willing to give; life is pain. 2. Death relieves us of this pain; death is the ultimate freedom. When you stop fearing death, you’ll gain that freedom, and then you will begin to live.
