What’s goin on everyone?! I hope you all are doing well. Right now, we’re back with the Song Of The Week. This week’s pick goes to Bronx artist – Denzil Porter for his “Good Morning, Good Afternoon” record – produced by Jeffery Barnett. From the jump, the sampling is on point. This song takes you on a ride; the production pulls you in; and has this kind of free falling effect. There’s a lot of movement. Denzil delivers a story that’s creatively relatable. You can close your eyes and watch the pictures unfold. I love music like this. It is like a whole life bound into three and a half minutes. It makes me think about time. What does time mean to you? Morning, afternoon, and night; day after day, week after week; it just goes on, and everyone views it in their own way. Yet it is something that we all have in common. It is the measure of our life here on earth, and how we use it defines our existence. I hope we all can use our time creatively; to do what we love. Whether you prefer to say “good morning”, or “good afternoon;” just be glad you were blessed to wake up. Appreciate every moment; know that time is yours, and that life is beautiful.
